After 3 years break Coldplay are now back at last and soon have the first hammer-song in his luggage. The new single is called "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" and sounds like the first seconds immediately after unmistakably Coldplay, as we know and like. It seems as if the band was concentrating on now on lebensfrohere stadium anthems, because the song sounds nowhere near as sad and melancholic as some other songs the group (think of "What If" or "The Scientist"). Instead resound iridescent-melodic sounds, driving drums and a great, haunting vocals with the spine-tingling voice of Chris Martin. For Major Minus one can only say: Nice, also typical Coldplay song, but it is at the level of a solid B-side. Completely okay, but nothing weltumwerfendes. I'm looking forward to the new album and with me now in its "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" in time-repeat! :-)
