This is a score, as it exists only once! Brazilian drum rhythms, guitar, pan flute, a string orchestra and successful Synthesizer - Rainforest effects create an unforgettable listening experience! Not for nothing this score was plundered for many television documentaries! Whistle along to a few passages and tracks an otherwise very good Höralbum for lively or dreaming! The CD contains a track by the way of pleasantly different from the movie version and represents a highlight track: Track 12 "The Sugar". Delicately beginning, then dramatically enhancing and smart at the end and rhythmically with guitar, pan flute and plucked instruments dying away: In the film, ants are here discovered shortly before the climax with the sad forest fire, representing the missing puzzle piece of research for a cure for cancer. Rhythmically and dramatically-tragic is the track "The Fire". The destruction issue also occurs on the 1st and last track. The score also includes other great moments. When track "First Morning" one believes in listening almost that you selbt just is in the rainforest, as Goldsmith the atmosphere of a rainforest with synthesizers, exotic instruments and orchestra perfectly translated into the language of music! Track 1 and Track "The Harvest" are the most joyous and spirited valuable pieces! The verträumteste piece this exellenten disc is the track "The Trees", which is a little darker only when the movie of a view of the main characters notice the approaching destruction of the rainforest. This Jerry Goldsmith score, which is part of world music almost in the category, should be in every film music collection!
A Music by Goldsmith, who went in a similar direction and also more than is recommended is the music for the film "Under Fire" (1982), where Goldsmith also with panpipes and a virtuoso guitar playing (Pat Metheny!) Worked!
