Marco Beltrami ("Joy Ride - ride", "T3 - Rise of the Machines - Terminator: Rise of the Machines") wrote this eye-candy is the perfect score!
My on-reviewers have noted aptly that this score does not represent a classic film scores, but - damn and sewn up - he makes hell of fun!
With a large orchestra and chorus melodically recorded from a few sequences - at times almost classical Seeming: Simply a pleasure!
And if you listen closely as Soundtrack lovers, one can also discover a possible source of inspiration: Jerry Goldsmith.
Striking already the "Main Title" (Track 3), that somehow at the Main Theme of Goldsmith's score to - reminds (Alec Baldwin) 1994 "THE SHADOW Shadow and the Curse of Khan" - only the use of almost 70iger- sounding bass guitar and the dramaturgical structure of this track ....
Also, due to the already lush instrumentation (high strings share, punchy brass) and guide the melodies within this score recognizes the gourmet Beltrami's classic model.
And if that all seems too unlikely - let him please Track 13 of this score sound precisely: Who goes there then no déjà vu feeling is, let hang please Goldsmith's score to "Basic Instinct" in 1992 and track 9, "Roxy Loose "listen, ....
Just so we do not get us wrong: Beltrami copied Goldsmith not - he is inspired only by him and create based on this inspiration a very unique Filetstück to score, which is absolutely just this superb strip .....
