Brad Fiedel's scores are "T1" and "T2" and remain unmatched, Marco Beltrami's work to "T3" was solid (but came despite all efforts not really over, though powerful and impulsive) - but Danny Elfman has executed reached the right place!
His score for "Salvation" should any Terminator fan satisfy, because it picks up everything Brad Fiedel has ever made music in the Terminator universe.
The metallic sound, powerful and driving, perfect for the cold and menacing world of machines, wonderful melancholy tone bows for leftover human civilization (including the acoustic guitar, the fiddle in the score for "T2" began), and repeatedly flashed Fiedel's legendary Terminator -Theme on what the viewer repeatedly suggiert the right feeling goose bumps and gives.
That's something that Beltrami has kläglicherweise avoided in his score for "T3", but just as Arnie here the Terminator was not very wise - I think, but who knows who is responsible for them, Beltrami himself or Director Mostow.
They have been waiting the whole time "T3" to hear this melody - they just could not.
And Danny Elfman and director McG have this error is detected - and avoided !!!!
Here musical world of the terminators is complete and that draws a really good composer: use someone else's work, to neuzubeleben some Alt-known and still create something completely independent.
And Danny Elfman - something we surely need not discuss - is a giant.
Final verdict: An absolute recommendation !!!!
