Jerry Goldsmith, among others, the master of fantasy scores wrote the music for the movie "Legend" by Ridley Scott. Composer and Regiesseur were already working together on the film "Alien" in 1979 where Scott to score but did not use properly, but pushed towards its desired in places. Even then I found something not right, because the music to "Alien" was top notch and very bleak. She was even provided with a Golden Globe nomination, which was absolutely fair. An Oscar nomination would (nominated music to "Star Trek The Motion Picture" in the same year, by Goldsmith, was nominated for an Oscar!) This known film music also deserves! And in the "Legend" credit score, it was even worse! Goldsmith composed an excellent soundtrack, which was perfectly attuned to the "National Philharmonic Orchestra". A powerful, beautiful and sometimes creepy score, which probably also belongs to one of the best Goldsmith soundtrack! Following opinions of some experts and critics Soundtrack this soundtrack would have an Oscar nomination, just like "Alien", earned! But the best is yet: 1985, the starting year of the movie "Legend" was written the music. But shortly before the beginning of the film the music of Goldsmith in the American version was replaced with an electric soundtrack of another Komponiszten! Although stayed in the European version of the music from Goldsmith, received his music, but nevertheless this is an absolute impudence, in which also the employment of Scott and Goldsmith broke up. And probably the most understandable way. The score was so perfect and is promptly replaced with a bad score another! Even after critics of the new soundtrack was quickly declared bad. In a report it said that this new film music should rather attract a younger audience to the cinemas. The film was a flop! Well, after all this is one clear: convincing Jerry Goldsmith's excellent soundtrack and counting not only I one of the best of the composer. Bravo!
