For WF-2660DWF:
The Epson, I have now been 3 months in use. To make it short:
The Epson is by far the worst printer I had in the last few years (not to say decades). I felt somehow in the 90's set back, at that time I had to deal with similar problems here again.
Negative points:
- Produced jam galore. Even a copy of a previously folded letter represents the Espon a challenge (in commercial paper quality). Meanwhile, I try to make copies using ADF individually. To scan an entire stack of paper / copy (even if only 10 pages) is an adventure. This is also not in a possibly. 'Unclean' filling the paper tray as has already been speculated here
- ADF is not recognized often. So copies are made of the glass support, even though there is no template and insert it in the catchment
- Very slow, both in print as well as during the scan
- Acts much less valuable and too much play (eg paper insert), which I knew so far not - If you have ever driven an old Ford, knows what I mean ;-)
- No Duplex Scan (was known but now I miss it)
- Scan software cumbersome (eg the scan multiple photos with automatic recognition is not possible.)
Positive points:
- Very good price / performance ratio (80 after deduction of 30 cashback)
- Print quality (Text) is fine
- Works seamlessly with third-party ink
- The Epson support I wg. required of a problem when setting up was fast and efficient
- 3-year guarantee upon registration, that (hopefully) no planned obsolescence a'la Canon
Conclusion: for home users who occasionally have something Print and not have too high claims the device is still ok. However, definitely not for the office (and be it ever so small)
