First tests with the VideoMic Pro show this clearly! The possibility of the Micro-output level to reinforce + 20dB makes postiv noticeable just at the 5D MKII. The Kameraamps must be quasi hardly availed to say: the manual level setting on the camera is completely to zero and then save only 3 wheel clicks into plus, finished. More must not be leveled actually. Sonically, the worlds are now the old VideoMic. The noise is almost gone, the sound very present, clean, maybe a little bassy but much clearer definitely.
Since the VideoMic Pro also significantly kompkater than its predecessor, is also makes the "palpable" in handling the camera noticeable. The often criticized or at least questioned thin leads I emfinde not personally be disadvantageous. At the 5D it comes to crisp socket, flying anywhere around, not too short, not too long and the male feels subjectively even more tightly to.
To summarize: strong buy recommendation, in particular for the 5D MKII! Definitely recommended even or especially for the old Umstieger VideoMic since the VideoMic Pro here is really a big Schrit forward in terms of DSLR onboard sound.
