Along with the album "Tyger" is "Cyclone" an exception in the career of Tangerine Dream. Because both albums were recorded with a singer (!). So you first heard vocals on a TD album. The opinions about the end result is therefore quite different. Personally, I find this very successful experiment. It's something new! The voice of the singer Steve Jolliffe adapts the instrumental music of the first two titles "Bent Cold Sidewalk" and "Rising Runner missed by endless sender" exactly. For the hardcore TD fans even is also something: "Madrigal Meridian" is again a typical instrumental work. Edgar Froese plays even a violin! Overall, the titles are sung prima. In any case, "Cyclone" voting rights more successful than "Tyger". Too bad that Steve Jolliffe left the band after this album, because it can not only sing well but he also plays different flutes and keyboards. Conclusion: for TD-fans, the album is a must despite vocals! And who does not like singing songs, which is like this all the more so the 20 minute instrumental title "Madrigal Meridian". Here is something for everyone.
