The game starts off fast and it briefly comes even genuine horror Feeling on. The rooms are covered in blood and a rapid escape evolves. But shortly after the start, I was first taken aback: 100 rounds for the cutter? Hit me almost fainted. Player of DS1 will remember that ammunition was always scarce and every shot had to sit practically. Now you have a lot of ammo. It also resulted that the monsters and enemies take more. Nevertheless, many action scenes rather degenerated to shooting orgies and there are many action scenes.
The graphics are in my opinion totally fine. The already mentioned as bloody walls are only one aspect. There are times to discover quite detailed rooms and small things that make the heart beat faster discovery. Nevertheless, what is important here to repetitions. The effects are all in a neat area.
Only what's left? Dead Space III has except with Issac and the backstory little in common with DS I. Of course, the protagonists who for location and also the control is the same / similar. Yet it does not feel like I DS on, but rather like a cross between Mass Effect and Call of Duty. Eben no more Dead Space. The unique selling survival horror is missing almost entirely. And otherwise? A mediocre shooter in an interesting universe with a "great" in-game shop.
Conclusion: For fans of the series probably disappointing. I bought the game basically only because of the story and torment me through the game. The voltage from the first part is completely missing. Add to that the cheeky DLC policy and focusing on the action. Pity! So it is very close to 3 star.
