Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9 all united in a group. My expectations of the first album were logically very high. Each of these 4 has at least one right Burner to his credit and is technically on a very high level ... especially Royce Da 5'9 and Crooked I are for me the epitome of a sophisticated Mcees. The album starts off promising with the track "Sound Off" which contains a sample freshes which already EDO G has used. The rap technically and lyrically really high level keeps my mind around the plate. For demanding rap listeners thus quite a must buy. The biggest problem of this plate is in my opinion the ankh poor beat selection. It can be found logically beat technically some great tracks on this disc: "The One" or "Not Tonight" can actually nothing to be desired .... what I still missing are correct beat pearl ala 9th Wonder or Pete Rock. Clear are with The Alchemist and DJ Khalil also a couple of hip producers with this, but that is not enough to deliver consistently good beats. I am sure that, for example, Just Blaze, 9th Wonder and Pete Rock would not let ask 2 times to contribute for as a group beats. Be clear now mention some of the financial aspect and say that those producers their cost money but you should save as selbsernannte "SOUPERGROUP" as a last resort to the beats ..... In summary: Technically and lyrically this year the album at all, but by the beats her rather poor .... So: For fans a must buy otherwise I'd stick to YouTube with the single "The One" and "Move On" content which not can be found on the disk.
