The group was brought in 1970 their third regular album titled MAN on the market. Around the same time appeared that in the United States under the name of MAN in 1970, and showed as a front cover, the five members in each occupation, namely Mickie Jones (Guitar, Vocals), Clive John (Keyboard, Vocal), Deke Leonard (Vocal, Guitar Keyboards), Martin Ace (bass) and Terry Williams (drums). Like the first two discs of the Welsh rock band the songs show a variation of different styles, actually already partly quite progressive. ROMAIN For example, a first rocking song with slide guitar, intricate guitar lines and Caravansquen vocals, which culminates at the end towards an eerily groovy blues rocker, with great solos at the end. This is probably the most progressive song next to the twenty-minute, epic and spine-tingling, psychedelic ALCHEMIST. Two pieces of the still belong today to the best of one, and in which is experimenting and improvising something. Country Girl is then a song, in which the name says it all. A cool, tangy country song.
WOULD THE CHRISTIANS WAIT FIVE MINUTES / THE LIONS ARE HAVING A DRAW comes as a twelve-minute, Ballade like and atmospheric composition with psychedelic structures, therefore, is primarily but a jumbled, progressive basic rhythm. DAUGHTER OF THE FIREPLACE is a boogie song with unusual driving rhythm, great vocals and beautiful guitar passages. Said ALCHEMIST then ends the disc with a virtuoso, tightly braided Endsolo. Never again should one balanced and more in line with each other sound as in this richly varied, profound and emotional album. Must-have for Proggies!
