Two great action RPGs, technically sound spiced up

I confine myself rather to the "innovations" of the Final Mix. So new is not actually, this appeared a few years ago for the PS2. This, however, only in Japan, which is why he probably vorrüberging unnoticed to most Europeans. In addition to some new cutscenes (and a few taken from 358/2 Days) there also some new elements. So you can now in addition to the known forms (heroic, Way, master, and anti overmolding) change in the limit form, which has the advantage that Sora also use it alone and, as the name suggests, the powerful Limtattacken may also be used without appropriate companions. In addition, a new story relevant bosses and some additional optional bosses, as well as the cave of memory there is a new area. Also can now be found throughout the levels puzzle pieces, although overlooked rare, but are not always accessible. Only with the right Abillitys can grab the most, so it is worth to visit also already completed environments again. And finally, there is also an additional fourth difficulty (veteran), but it is really crisp only when the optional bosses.

The voice acting is like with the 1.5 remix exclusively English (with German subtitles), which is a shame, as the German spokesman did on the PS2 a great job. While it comes as to no acoustic break to new cutscenes, and the other two titles Birth by Sleep and Re: Coded, but it would have been nice if a Square would have given at least the option to change language.

Visually, the game has been similarly well adapted as the first part of a year ago. 1080p resolution and a well-adjusted 16: 9 aspect ratio, but also easy Alliasing and a few rare framerate dips, but not negligible.

Birth by Sleep is the second playable titles in the box and also in the drilled Final Mix. Among the changes here but I can not write anything because I have not played the original. Visually it falls due to its somewhat clunky PSP origin than Kingdom Hearts 2, is otherwise but neither back nor in terms of story gameplay in nothing.

Re: Coded provides similar 358/2 Days in 1.5 Remix only the cutscenes of the title, but not the actual gameplay, but this is no great loss, because all too well, this game was not anyway. At least you can catch up on the story, if you do not yet know.

The Limited Edition even been canceled more simple than the year before. An art book is this time of much more expensive collector's edition reserved, in the LE you have to time with a cardboard box and a, after all, quite quality produced, enter Pin satisfied. But compared to the standard version there is no capacity.

Despite small criticisms, overall again a very good collection not only for series fans. Newcomers should start but rather with the 1.5 remix of the series, as the story has yet been achieved here with its countless major and minor characters, a very high, not always easy to see through complexity.
