Tripod useful, problems with head, compared to 055XPROB

Summary:
- The stand feels compared to Manfrotto 055XPROB a little rickety at, this is practically equivalent in terms of stability but.
- The stand provides even without use of the center column a useful working height of about 127cm headless
- The head did not pan horizontally in the delivery condition.

And now, in order:
First, I would note that I was looking for a cheap second tripod for my photography. Due to the improved working height, I have decided for the video tripod and against the tripod AmazonBasics.

The first thing I noticed when taking the stand, was a slight rattle in comparison to Manfrotto. Also running in this legs better on and off. Where the Manfrotto a gentle slope enough to slide the legs alone by gravity automatically, you have to push or pull by hand the AmazonBasics ever.
But that's about all I can find fault. Once built, it is comparable to stable as the Manfrotto. In the subsequent vibration tests with a pair of 50D + 70-300L at 300mm on a Giotto GTMH1300-621 ball head I could at maximum Lupe in LiveView no difference in the vibrational behavior account. No matter what I've tried - both deflection and post-pulse oscillation was comparable for both. With a Berlebach example. But can not keep both ...

Much worse happened to me with the supplied head. After careful assembly, the head was hard swing to the right and when panning to the left, even broke the head from the tripod. Even tightening the Allen screws brought not really help. Pans were not possible without at the same time hold the tripod down.
Ultimately, I then times unscrewed the plate from the top and was scared of what I found there. Instead of a lubricant there was something that I was very reminiscent of sticky resin. So upside down (as far as possible) dismantled and removed from the resin. After that a retaining screw is loosened with a large tool a little bit, the whole lubricated and reassembled. Now it runs silky smooth when I get a little loose the retaining screw.

How many points are as a package?
The stand alone would get me 4. (Stability 4, decrepitude 3, price 5)
I give the head at delivery only 1. After 'tuning' it would be. 4
Ultimately, I decided for 3. 2 appeared to me in view of the usefulness of the stand alone for too hard. Without the hassle of head it would be 4 points with a clear budget recommendation.

The best I found the question to my wife: "How much has the cost again?". What me then but a plump grin drove into his face.

Two supplementary information at the end:
The tripod has a 3/8-inch screw.
The removable hard disks are almost compatible with Giotto GTMH601 (for Exchange Unit GTMH621). One only needs to cut something with a file, the retaining lugs on the bottom. The GTMH601 again fit without modification in the video head.
