The pocket - processing & function outside:
Just as the Lowepro Outback 300 processes you can not complain really. Very solid, quite extensive and nicely equipped with pull-out rain cover and two quivers, and the abdomen and shoulder. There is a point of criticism - the shoulder strap - having a cushion, which is not worthy of the name, because if you only as a camera with 4 lenses accommodates therein, then the bag is not full and the shoulder hurts because just the "cushion" is too narrow and not upholstered. Since then helps only the lap strap to discharge.
The quiver side are removable, they stuck to the bag loops in and be secured with a Velcro fastener. Unfortunately, Lowepro has not considered here the usual SlipLock tabs, so you can not make optimum use with this bag other, larger quiver of the same house. The waist belt is very cleverly and thoughtfully to the bag attached, because one can behind a push to disappear on the entire bag width, which is handy if you want to use the bag only as a shoulder bag (if one concerned a reasonable shoulder pads). Additionally, there is a zipper in the front, the hosts another compartment with mesh pocket (with zipper) and several interior pockets. On the bag many belt loops are attached to the outside, allowing a multitude of connection options, so quite "modular" total.
The pocket - processing & function inside:
Now if you want to open the bag at the waist strap which is very easy to do, the zipper can be opened from either side, the bag cover is opened to the outside, from off the body and you have full access to the inside pocket and memory card compartments in the lid where there is also a kind of cell phone pocket located. Located on the zippers of the zipper large plastic half-rings which are very convenient because one can both easily be opened with one finger the zippers as well as use a carabiner as a pickpocket protection. The layout is a bit poor in my eyes, it does have 5 dividers with Velcro, which can be due to the size but not make optimum use. Two of the dividers are as deep as the pocket and two dividers only half as deep. A divider serves as a horizontal separation between "Top" and "Bottom". Here one needs either two extended divider or one looks just how to get along best.
The design flaw is here when you open the bag to the shoulder strap, because the rings, where the belt is hung, are very close to the zippers - so close that can only be opened very awkward in the pocket of zipper with some weight.
The only remedy is a slight modification of the bag itself, because there are two small gray belt loops that have no special function in these slings can also attach the shoulder and there, much closer to the body, the shoulder belt does not interfere with more really.
The internal dimensions & Dimensions:
Quiver inside:
Diameter = 10.5 cm maximum (which is the measure of what can be included lens hood it plugged into)
Depth = 21.5 cm maximum (that is the extent to which the lid can close without distorting)
Pocket:
Width measured directly at the waist strap to inside edge = 26 cm
Width compared to the waist strap to inside edge measured = 24,5 cm
Width measured from the body right and left = 17 cm
Distorting depth in the pocket from the lid without measured = 27,5 cm
Practical experience and use:
Slightly modified as described, with the shoulder strap and a separately worried shoulder pads otherwise fastened, I have worn this bag and found that in theory the waist strap would be quite sufficient if you do not just put 10 kilos in his pocket for several days. On a 3-day City Tour I is an equipment of 6 kilos transported, sometimes only at the waist belt. The bag can be very good from front to back on the body turn (assuming you have something waist) and with well over 120cm the waist belt is also suitable for tall people. The clip fastener on Grut is well chosen in terms of size, easy to use and the shoulder strap has rotating metal clip that look very stable. There are lateral lashing whose meaning I have not been recognized. So far I have used the order possibly to attach a jacket on it. The only comfort the waist strap is absolutely exemplary, the belt is sufficiently well padded and the bag towards very broad.
Benefits:
+ Spacious inside
+ Stable and well finished
+ Super belly belt
+ Many modular attachment loops
+ Extremely variable use
+ Many (internal) bags
+ Raincover
Disadvantages:
- Attachment loops from the shoulder strap is not optimal
- Quiver fixing incompatible with Lowepro SlipLock
- Shoulder pads completely inadequate
Conclusion:
From experience, this bag is for me only after a fairly extensive modification of shoulder whose cushions and some modified dividers (which I still be had) become only at the optimal case. On a 3-day tour this bag was filled with good 6 kilos and very convenient to carry. Overall extremely access to equipment and storage space to offer a class alternative to the backpack with the possibility quickly, so to speak as Bauchladen. From the dimensions of the bag is quite spacious and the large number of pockets, compartments, etc., as well as the modular removing the quiver or fixing accessories make this bag for me now indispensable.
For the price what you get delivered is worth good four stars - if you would clear without modification of the belt and shoulder pads with reasonable it would have been even 5 stars.
