Strictly speaking, the receiver is thus a stand-alone satellite IP server for mini-price.
My CX05 is actually no longer connected to the TV, but is tucked away in a corner.
About a LAN cable it is connected to my router and distributed his picture and sound to various media players, which are distributed in the apartment.
A few small tips:
I use the iPad NOT the app Elgato Sat> IP.
Because this allows AirPlay on my TV while on, but only through the mirrors of the display. This means that you left and right black bars on a 16: 9 television looks.
Rather, I use the iOS app VLC and start from the stream of the CX05 via the RTSP protocol.
If I now reflects the display of the iPad via AirPlay, I am an AppleTV (almost) HD-like image.
Why now VLC? It's simple: If one reflects on VLC, you have oddly no black bars left and right. :-)
Another advantage of VLC is that I can also access the HD versions of ARD, ZDF & Co. on RSTP.
The Elgato app shows at least for me no HD channels of the ER transmitter.
As I hang a AppleTV to any TV in my apartment (2 pieces), I need no other media player more.
The only drawback, it is now of course that AppleTV and iPad need to run simultaneously.
Even my Media Player from Western Digital (WD TV Live) should RSTP can play.
A test follows this yet ...
