usually have the parts so the problem is that they "work" only in combi with the film. and heard in isolation, is a big question mark a ... without rapid or forceful film images is the whole then what it actually should be-something that supports the film images. here is not so! the film is gripping, the music for it too. it is already happening with the (rightly) Oscar-winning Springsteen song "Streets of Philadelphia". nothing against the boss as a rocker - the so go but I know a few songs under his skin, and then straighten the hair from the inside. then a new title comes (now on the new best-of of him on it) from Peter Gabriel called "Love Town". what you have to say to Gabriel even more ... somewhat later song of "Sade". Then come the "spin doctors". the "Indigo Girls" show their expression and stimmenstaerke at "i don`t wanna talk about it" (man, woman it auch..kennt of Rod Stewart). then the callas with "la mamma morta". then very quiet, almost breathy "Philadelphia" by Neil Young + very end an instrumental. on the latter whatâ do without ... but the rest is great. a fascinating mix - Peter Gabriel and callas. Sade and Springsteen on an album ?! it has become magnificently. abwexlungsreich, internally consistent, insistent, beguilingly - one of the best soundtracks ever!
