Why I do not like Siren charms? I have the album sure 5 or 6 times fully heard, it belongs analytically, given me a lot of effort to understand it. I admit without hesitation that it did not succeed. Here is an evolution wederm hear, nor is there any significant new influences. At said hearing 5-6 times stayed with me nothing, hang anything, what has inspired me somehow and I have spoken openly no interest to start a 7. Pass. This Siren charms will be the In Flames album for me, which I never take hold with high security again and from which it is not a song in my Best Of playlist
Musically, the whole band is entirely below its potential. None of Musikier offers technical, yet creative, with Daniel Svensson still delivers the best picture on the drums. The songwriting is just what first does not have to be bad, but seems too sterile and standartisiert what all these midtempo numbers explained, one of which is more boring than the other. Hardly creative riffs, hardly any variation, little typical In Flames harmonies, almost no solos also deserve this designation. Weak.
Lyrically you get nothing heard what was not heard in other songs already 100 times, partly copied to even themselves. In Flames conditions a very weak freestyle.
Now every fan of the band Anders Friden is known, not the best singer when it comes to clean vocals. These are on Siren charms with a few exceptions but the rule. Thus, the songs seem all to vote conditionally rather whiny and I do not want to know how Anders will perform the songs live, after no more than half of the Tour will no longer listen live experience has shown that good. I hope in this case I'm wrong.
What is the bottom line?
Each band has a weak transitional album, Siren charms this is for In Flames. The songs are like B-sides that have failed in recent years on the albums seem unfinished, to convulsions mainstream-heavy, and by the typical creativity in songwriting is no trace. The problem is not the removal of the musical roots of the band, but the lack of development and creativity.
