If it were not for:
- Permanent, uncontrolled crashes of the system or its components almost daily
- No qualified error messages that might help in a problem-solving
- A user interface (WebUI), which no longer is definitely on the amount of time - EQ3 it seems to have probably missed that more than 50% of all Germans in 2014 are on the go with mobile devices in the network. The tablet surface is tolerably, with the mobile phone it is impossible to use. The numerous alternative surfaces and Apps speak volumes for the gaps in the HomeMatic system.
- A non-existent, unfriendly Support by EQ3 / ELV, the only Support when all products were purchased at a direct selling right research prizes at the ELV. A visit to the user forums of ELV-page speaks volumes.
- A not always complete, and especially difficult to understand documentation (and I am professionally related topics busy every day)
The only salvation is a large and vibrant community around HomeMatic that should solve a lot of questions that would have the quality assurance of the developer or its support, but then holds an answer parrat.
I can only recommend people who are keen to experiment and suffer willingly from personal experience HomeMatic. This product is something for hobbyists or early adopters, given the relatively long market presence of this system but that should be long gone.
There is also only one star because no star at Amazon is not possible.
