I hereby would like to evaluate the recently acquired Samsung Blu-ray burner.
The package was - as always with Amazon - very good. Fast delivery, everything was great.
Now to the essence:
I have not bought the burner mainly to "burn" CD's / DVD's / Blu-ray's. Rather, I wanted to spare me the constant switching between the PC display and the display on my TV. I have a screen for my PC a 32 '' - he and I wanted to have a product with which I need to connect any additional player to the TV but only on the PC. Through the simple USB port that was of course done quickly.
I look like DVD's in good quality, so far I have, however, only on the default drive of my PC can access it - so just normal DVD quality. Since there is practically up to this torch any devices with USB port for the PC, I decided for this.
In some reviews it was not clear to discern whether this burner is actually well suited to Blu-ray's "just play".
And I must say: he can very well and is definitely suitable.
I can not play all the movies without problems, even though I have to say that first an approximately half-hour update was necessary until this is possible. Very good is also the fact that software is included for playback. A precondition is the proper resolution of the PC (1920x1080). Only then can a Blu-ray are well played and delivers excellent quality.
Why I disconnect a star: the loading time of Blu-ray's. At the beginning you realize this more quickly because you're normally accustomed to a quick play mode or low load time. Over time, it is better to set itself accordingly. The normal duration of the charging time is about 1 minute after inserting. If the drive already connected and the Blu-ray is inserted it must be mostly been started manually (menu item "Computer" in Windows 8).
I burned a Blu-ray until now. This went very quickly from Equip and also the quality is very good.
Conclusion: if a good burner - looking or a good player for the PC - is very well served with this burner from Samsung. The price is absolutely justified, as a normal player for TV costs eventually have the 80-120 euro (depending on class). Here's even on top of the burning function.
