"Notes on Prussia in his great disaster in 1806" is undoubtedly the best written analysis of campaigns by the general Carl von Clausewitz. Severe, almost the excess with his homeland, he deciphers in detail the causes of war, preparing it by both sides (pointing failures of Prussia), then the chronological and detailed workflow in The emphasis put again on the mistakes of his countrymen. This "critical view" is without concessions, eg speaking author of "natural weakness going up a real shamelessness" about some governors of strongholds! The battles fought by Prince Augustus battalion in Prenzlau are also told in the appendix to this beautiful edition of 180 pages. Note however that this essential text of Clausewitz, written around 1825, was not translated for the first time in French quau early twentieth century.
