Blur gaining atmosphere

"Modern Life Is Rubbish" is the second album released in 1993, the British band Blur. After the first album "Leisure" already could give a taste of the possibilities of Blur, is in this second album is already a significant increase to be felt. This consists in the fact that "Modern Life Is Rubbish" is an atmospherically very dense album; from the other albums of Blur can as well only "The Great Escape" keep up. The typical Blur sound pervades this entire album without, from the apart one or other length, being boring and monotonous; you can let yourself go in the sound. While on "Leisure" even the songs played the lead role and accounted for the quality of the CD, it is now the interaction of all tracks, makes the listening experience dea. Although this still individual songs, especially "Advert" and "coping" stand out a little bit, all in all, it falls to the listener but at the end of difficult to name individual songs. And that's also what "Modern Life Is Rubbish" yet of a really great album is different: The individual songs are by themselves not so great that one would have to be sure; here it's just the overall impression.
