- Scandinavian Folk Metal
- Backbone of folkloric passages (traditional Finnish tunes played with flutes, violin and accordion) with Black / Death Metal elements
- Typical Humppa rhythms (-> Frohsinn, celebratory mood)
- Singer and guitarist Jonne Järvelä while singing not entirely clear, but melodically
- Texts mostly English
The members of the band "Korpiklaani" live actually in the midst of the Finnish forests and even such a life explains the passion, which is mediated by Korpiklaanis music.
Especially the instrumental songs, like "Pellonpekko", which is the Finnish Gerstengott- and thus dedicated to the good Gerstensaft-, impress with clean played instruments and melodies.
