We come to the Jabra Wave:
The first pairing went without any problems. I completed several calls to the audio quality test and was very pleasantly surprised; I heard my interlocutor very clearly and without interference. My interlocutors were clearly understand me also. Tests at almost stormy weather also went surprisingly well. My interlocutor could perceive eg car horns significantly, but almost no wind noise.
Test with the running faucet (the sound was perceived with other headsets from the other party as a very loud, unpleasant and disturbing); Again Jabra Wave could prove that it has a very good noise suppression. The interlocutors took the sound of true only after I asked about it, the test repeated and moved even closer to the faucet or sink! EXCELLENCE!
When the first calls came, I saw the first bad surprise; I could not "ringing" in the headset perceive, but only a very faint noise. The headset does not have its own "ring tones"! All other headsets I had so far, even the cheapest Noname headsets, "ringing" when the phone was muted, with their own "ringtone". Also hang up the redial etc. were other headsets with the headset's "cheep" confirmed. The Jabra Wave is unfortunately silent because as I said no treasury notes has. Only if the phone is set to a profile with a ring tone, you could hear this ringtone in Jabra Wave. The snag; The Jabra provides the cell phone to maximum volume. If you separate the headset from your phone, you will experience later, when an incoming call, a very evil and a very loud surprise! If, now the headset quietly to solve the problem (the cell phone ringtone is too quiet), the interlocutor can barely perceive. I would have expected from a Noname Headset, and not one of the better models of Jabra!
The second hook was not long in coming. My Plantronics Voyager Pro I could charge in emergencies and simultaneously make calls. The Jabra Wave has a much shorter talk time (with my telephoning behavior I have to invite at least twice daily). I had not noticed before, that it has a very short charging cable (approx. 28 cm). So I closed it with the charging part of my Plantronics at (compatible as it is also the small USB plug has). Now the bad surprise: When charging the phone is disconnected! The likes of view one way or another as unimportant or of course, for me, it is a very thick minus point. As a programmer, I have to charge in case of an emergency during the conversation, which was not a problem even with several other headsets (eg. The Voyager Pro).
The Bluetooth range: The is the Jabra Wave in any case shorter than a lot when Voyager Pro. Overall, I would but that does not negatively values, since I am of the opinion that it should in most cases not be a problem to keep the cell phone near the headset. But what I miss the Jabra Wave: When Voyager Pro you can hear a beep when you have located the headset too far from the phone. Even if you were not talking. This explained to me already more sure that I as the mobile phone. had left in Caffee on the table. When Jabra Wave hear nothing of it when it separates from the phone!
Now the reliability: After several days, I realized that the headset randomly disconnects from phone and you have to fumble in the pretty phone to your Bluetooth settings until it reconnects. One time it did not want to, and I had to remove first, then re-pair the headset until it closed in the cell phone. The whole took almost half an hour and would eg. impossible while driving! In emergencies (eg. Important conversation on the highway) I'd rather not rely on the Jabra Wave. The whole thing is all the worse, the one as described above, is not aware when the headset disconnects it from the phone. Is it connected, it says when you press the answer button "Connected", otherwise you just do not hear anything! So rausholen phone, you fumble to the Bluetooth Settings to restore its connected. Only those who want or for example would make at a speed of 120 on the highway?
Comfort: Absolutely superb! You can feel it no longer after a short time!
Conclusion:
Plus: comfort, design, extremely good wind and noise reduction, good sound
Minus: (!) No own "ringtones", no reference in the separation, relatively short call duration, can not be used during charging, no reliable connection
Especially the disconnections go me after a week on the mind. Therefore, I will return the unit and look around for a more reliable albeit more expensive headset.
