1) Processing
The Yoga 2 a little more workable than its predecessor. Although both tablets have a fairly good level of craftsmanship (the reverse is the exception), the Yoga 2 looks a bit more solid. In addition, the structure on the back was again designed better, whereby the tablet still feels grippy in hand.
The only drawback is the pedestal. The predecessor of this was rock solid, so that the tablet was very stable. When yoga 2 stand is somewhat shaky, making the Tablet sometimes teeters back and forth in stand mode while typing.
The Lauptsprecher were also replaced and made a little louder. From the sound quality, there are little differences.
2) Software
Both tablets have received an update to Android 4.4.2 and thus have the same features to Android. Nevertheless, Lenovo has given a little more trouble with his launcher at the Yoga 2. Many new features have been added that enhance ease of use. For example, the Quick Access Toolbar and message bar were separated. Also the function for multi-tasking and for "last" verwedeten Apps. The overall design is decorated in a more casual, so it looks very modern (and is)). The settings for the Used were significantly increased: you can delete bloatware partially and if not, then at least freeze, so they do not start on its own. In addition, you can also increase the sensitivity of the screen, so that the tablet can be used even when wearing gloves (works very well).
All in all, many practical improvements compared to its predecessor.
3) Performance
These need not say much to. The significantly better processor is spührbar. I use the tablet primarily for work and has some very large open PDFs. The predecessor sometimes had problems with it, what has made bemekrbar of individual pages by stuttering and long loading times. When Yoga 2 I have not yet experienced such a thing. A 20 Mb PDF is opened within seconds and the turning was absolutely no problem.
4) Battery
Although the successor a larger battery is installed, the endurance of the tablet is not as big as those of his predecessor. But this is absolutely not a miracle and manageable due to the significantly stronger processor.
The Yoga HD + I need to charge about every 6-7 days, and it was used on the day at least 3 hours. With the same use the Yoga must be charged 2 ca every 4-5 days.
All in all, was fairly well revised + in my eyes the Yoga HD. The Yoga 2 offers several new features and comes with a significant increase in performance therefore. Only the battery is weakening slightly compared to its predecessor.
Is an extremely long battery life important, so you're better off with the Yoga HD +. However, the successor despite verringter battery life on many small improvements.
PS: Because so many people write here about software problems. If you buy the Yoga 2, you should install the system update before anything else offered. This with me all errors were absolutely eliminated. Since about 3 weeks the tablet is running without any problems.
