Building bridges ... not only to Austria

Conchita has brought with her appearance and performance, including the Message Song Contest to the neighboring country and who would have guessed before?
In this respect, the spectacle plays this year from the probably no better fit their Vienna and the motto was "building bridges" used. Somehow fits. Musically offers this year's vintage as always a colorful Allerlei of different music styles, modern, traditional, much gentle and very little, you'll love how. The songs of this year, a total quiet, many in mid-tempo ballads and range, which certainly may be due to the last year's Top 3. The duet number rose dramatically, you want a little imitate the success of the Common Linnets surely, but this is a whole always been very independent and is not actually copied from last year.
So some duets are very outstanding this year: Estonia with its wonderful retro song "Goodbye to Yesterday" or Norway with the outstanding ballad "A monster like me" and two incomparable voices. Lithuania set against the only duet on NEN right Uptemposong and convince primarily through more charm than the song.

Outstanding are for me still the songs and performances from Sweden, Mans Zelmerlöw and his successful radio-dance track with country influences will leave by the special presentation certainly leave a lasting impression, Slovenia and with air violin and particularly catchy Retro Soul song that would really good fit for the radio good mood spread and Latvia, a special voice and a truly special song delivers with Aminata in electronically tinged soul area.
Spain comes ethno-heavy and mystical and therefore bring "Amenecer" a truly symphonic me climax, but can be forgotten in the mass well.
The big ballads come from Russia, Hungary ("Wars for nothing" as a peace anthem), the Czech Republic and Cyprus, and it remains to be seen, those who manage them to the finals, only Russia can be sure.
Italy comes with the well-known operatic Il Volo and set certainly a vocal climax, even if "Grande amore" but then comes along a bit cheesy.
Australia is convinced safely as debutant with American funk sounds and Guy Sebastian with his live voice.
Belgium gives very specific sound you must wait yet live, but teeming with originality.

But now the star deduction, because of course there is for me also songs that I do not like to listen to it and be one of them.
Greece comes this year very pompous and inflated and therefore kupfert me too much last year's winner title from, the Finns try it with her punk band PKN and the truly shortest song of ESC history. Who's like ...
Moldova with 90 Backstreet Boys sound, Armenia with a slightly jumbled song, difficult to describe, Denmark with 0815 pop sound or San Marino, try it with a duet and "chain of light" very cheesy, it should be at the songwriter?

Our German participant tried "Black smoke" and has been in this country, unfortunately, little attention and success, perhaps nevertheless it creates indeed made it into the top 20. I am unfortunately little confident enough catchy pop song is the soulful, only to hang . stay

My highlights are Slovenia, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Belgium and Spain, but who knows how it will look after the contest ...! My advice would be winners Australia and Italy at the end or even Finland due to the particularity, but how about times with a surprise ?!
