we bought this grass shears for one year in use and in 2011 because our old no-name-scissors mechanically stopped working after 3 years. The average quality was still outstanding, however, had spring and articulated then given up the ghost. So we treated ourselves to a proprietary product of Gardena, at least 1.5 to 2 times more expensive than no-name-scissors, which usually lie at the hardware store shelf next to it. Unfortunately, the Gardena -Scissors was much faster unusable. First they cut properly, but then: stalks are bent, folded, pulled ..... but no longer cut. Sufficient pressure on the blade seems to be there, because it is not comfortable. Conclusion: a lot of turquoise-colored plastic makes it even made a decent grass shears. Too bad, here seems the manufacturer only rapid margin to be important.
