Pre-listening in a direct comparison with the larger amplifier PMA 1510 AE in HiFi Studio I then certainly felt the sound of the PMA 720 AE as an equal, because it creates a wonderful transparency and more details and space is as I expect from my Harman am. Even the presence of a loudness function (which the 1510 does not have), I found positive. After several back and forth I finally came to the conclusion that the PMA 720 AE the greater is not inferior of transparency ago and from the fine detail, even in the bass clean and strikes up with neat contours and pressure, and even the level of equipment some more features (if you do not need Rec out feature). I have therefore decided to use the PMA 720 AE, especially since I was offered the dealer to replace if not satisfied against the larger amplifier.
Just to clarify one more thing: I do not rule out that others can hear even more, for me it was in any case so that the PMA has me 720 AE very appealing sonically and has convinced more already in the studio at the end.
At home I was then only really surprised because the Denon PMA 720 AE at the Canton speakers, especially in the bass, sounded even better than the Canton Chrono in HiFi Studio. The initial skepticism was gone quickly and by listening various CDs was really fun, I liked not stop somehow. Older CDs often contain details that I had previously not perceived so.
Even at loud levels (eg House or Rock) holds the Denon with very good and remains sound still amazingly clean and stable. Compared to the Harman one can say clearly that more subtleties and details are the PMA 720 audible and that the Denon is designed somewhat brighter, while the bass in really extremely high levels of Harman still can build a bit more pressure, but as loud as I never actually heard.
I'm really excited and very happy with the part and can recommend this amp to anyone who good sound for a reasonable price studied, highly recommend. The Denon PMA 720 AE is absolutely worth the money and I will certainly not trade it for the more expensive PMA 1510.
