The quality of the songs is continuously on incredibly high level. What other bands create only once in her entire career, Slayer have brought about in its early days with each song. The riffs of King and Hannemann are excellent, underpinned by the infernal bass Araya and his fiendish shouts while Dave Lombardo thrashes his drum kit, as only he can. But the title song is worth buying the album, one of the great Slayer songs that is missing on any concert. That's the only song that really highlight, the others being continuously on an almost same level.
One of my personal favorites Slayer, which can be found on this album, is still "Necrophiliac" who all too rarely played live.
Overall, it must be said that with this album a very somber mood is created like no other album, which creates a great atmosphere. The name says it all, so to speak!
Just like the other albums with drum god Dave Lombardo Slayer includes this disc without ifs and buts in any record collection, which focuses on the harder pace!
