The glass plate is continuous, any heat-sensitive end edges, as with some competitors. Relatively long time, until the plates are heated. Not typical for induction. What bothers is the loud fans and beeps when adjusting temperature and timer. 45 minutes Cooking time = 45 times beeping loud. Therefore 2 star deduction.
