Actually, cover- or tribute albums not really my thing. Here, however, the case is somewhat different. First, I've always been a big Ramones fan and love their special "Sägegitarrensound" Second, this also comes with all the lovingly selected pieces on this CD to wonderful effect. The bands, which the homage to here are all large caliber in rock history, whether Rolling Stones, The Who, Love and like giants and the successful selection of the groups and pieces proves what excellent and wide-ranging musical horizon had the Ramones. This goes far beyond "Punk" also. Really a great journey through time and a completely successful tribute to all the influences that have wrought into the Ramones music. And a cool Ramones wafer is a part also. Even with the covers, the Ramones were unique. Should have.
