Customer Review

In 2002, the South Tyrolean German rockers Frei.Wild delivered from their debut album.
The production is certainly a weak point of the album, from the brutal guitar walls of the newer albums is nothing to feel but the slightly rickety garage sound is quite authentic and fit.
The nine tracks have been the typical Frei.Wild Trade Marks on - beautiful guitar melodies, snotty vocals and singalong choruses.
Lyrically the level is located more low, than on later albums, but it shimmer already here socially critical issues ("Europe") through (which are, however, dominated by safe-and party anthems).

Player Ratings:

"Little brother to the well" - Saufhymne with sing-along chorus and nice guitar parts - 3.5 / 5

"Revenge must be" - Questionable text, but musically beautiful mid-tempo Stampfer, good chorus - 3.5 / 5

"Europe" - One of the best tracks on the album, beautiful vocal melodies, again very catchy and lyrically managed (Unlike many other people it's "us" actually pretty good, which do not appreciate a lot) - 4/5

"Target" - Super guitar riff! Otherwise not too spectacular and less eingänig as the first songs - 3/5

"Someday" - Beautiful ballad about the death of a friend, taking towards the end (unfortunately) at pace - 3.5 / 5

"I'll stay at home" - Once again trumps the guitar with beautiful melodies, witty lyrics - 3/5

"Misty eyed" - weakest song on the album, quite hard and less catchy, yet managed 2.5 / 5

"Wochendendsparty" - Catchy party anthem, is fun - 3.5 / 5

"Terror" - Round completion of the album, in contrast to "revenge must be" the violence criticized here 3/5

Conclusion:
If you like catchy, lyrically not very deep German rock and can do without a powerful production, makes with "Someday" certainly nothing wrong.
