The problem with long periods of inactivity, battery report problems (blinking red rapidly)

I bought two of the charging stations with batteries in the winter to save batteries. The battery packs have also properly fitted in the controller and could be recharged easily. Playing 2-3 nights, then back in the charging cradle - no problem. Since we do not play as often, the batteries had about 3 charge cycles behind when it was warm. Summer - playing outside - Wii has not been used. Until I bought at the flea market a Wii game and we wanted to try it ...

All devices from the chargers, finally holds no battery on a break of 3 months. All devices flash red, are thus charged. Only that after about 5 minutes all devices began rapidly blinking red. This rapid red flashing means 'Error loading', thus defective battery or other problems. Equipment put right something that display red again. So about five times, then the first device has begun reasonable to load and was eventually teal. On the second unit it worked for about the tenth time in the controllers 3 and 4, it has more than 20 trials (I was already trying to dig out the bill and to bring the charger back to the store) used until the charging cycle went through. After a dinner break I have again put the controller in the charging stations, where they have uploaded a few hours again. Now all battery packs are charged reasonable.

The problem is probably that the batteries have fully discharged by the long break is. I will make in the future the battery packs each month in the charging station to work around the problem, but really happy I'm not so. Here, the charging station should be improved because a longer summer break may occur from time to time.
