The Android operating system itself is quite nice. I however persölich (with a 100MB data plan) happened in Android too much in the background. Especially since in some cases even permanently pre-installed and can not be deleted programs simply dial into the Internet's. Nokia I was used to that had three settings for data connections: on, off, if necessary. In Android, there is only on or off. So you have little control over what just making dials, since not all Programe can be limited in this respect. Another disadvantage is that the Andriod 1.6 is not compatible with App2SD. That Sämmtliche Apps can be installed only in the very limited storage devices. Very soon there is a message, that is, there is no more memory, although it has on its memory card is still a lot of unused space.
Generally, it is advisable to activate the data connection only if necessary, because the Accu in the UMTS network with integrated switch data connection and Datensync (FB, Calendar, Email) holds barely 12 hours. In 2G network and data connection only via wifi to get ca out for 3 days. At a holiday trip my LG remained times than a week are unused. Then the ACCU was even loaded yet to 40%. But hardly taken in hand and something lit up the big screen, the Accu called again with 15% -Restspannung after charging cable.
But my main gripe is the actual hardware of the LG. It comes almost every day in front of one or two times that the phone hangs up shortly and will stop. Then the screen and the touchpad accepts no more inputs to light up. You have to do much, as about to wait a minute, until the court starts again and only performs a small soft Restart then actually. Particularly annoying is when actually arrives just a phone call, the LG continue ringing, but it does not respond to button and touch input, and thus the call can not be accepted.
Microphone and speakers are sufficient to lead a normal telephone conversation. The speakerphone turns but with background noise barely usable (if you've made it, you activate finally). On my Nokia I could even use in the car with mobile phone holder, the mobile phone's internal speakerphone. In the LG in the same bracket I could barely hear the caller and this me almost not at all. Only screams were degree are.
The Tochpad is easily scratched. After a few weeks you already use some unsightly marks on the display. Especially if you use a pen to Bedinung since the LG is not so well governed to finger input, but more reliable on fingernail or pen input.
We have two LG GT540 and both these problems. Therefore seem to be no single device-specific problems. For these reasons, I would never buy my LG GT540 again. If you can live with the problems, gets a very favorable Android phone and can sometimes get a taste of the world of Androidapps.
