Below the first part ... Disappointing.

I devoured the first part of the trilogy, reading feverishly and holding my breath ... If bold, intense and addictive. I second component is not at the height of the first, in my eyes. The ingredients that made the first a gem of a romantic-erotic literature, with mystery surrounding the character of Grey, which rises in crescendo throughout history ... I have not found them in following the trilogy.
It falls into a romantic reading, a little eau de rose, regularly punctuated by thoughts such as "I like it, it's mine," "it is so beautiful but so hurt inside him" or existential questions "how can he love me?".

I got bored firm throughout the book. It lacked twists, palpitations, surprises, reversals of situations ... I found that the story progressed painfully and lacked terrain. To believe that the author himself hardly knew how to hold the reader spellbound ... especially that little by little we pierce the secrecy surrounding Grey, which makes him fall from his pedestal and thus brings the relationship in a more conventional and less perverse register with Anastasia.

The only positive: the evolution of the relationship between the two characters. They get to know and accept each other. And the character of Anastacia which matures in depth ... We are far from the fragile and naive girl the first part! What entitles bolder verbal exchanges with Grey and reflections and reactions most frequently asked and mastered following events. It is the most credible shot ...

In short, I am very disappointed by this result. I'll still read more because I want to know how this story ends ... but I doubt find fever, impatience and excitement felt from the beginning.
