This is my first bridge camera from Canon and I am very satisfied.
Me especially attracted the huge zoom range.
I have taken two cameras on the shortlist, the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ38 and Canon PowerShot SX20 IS.
Even after an SLR camera I had seen, but as these are priced a little higher than the bridge cameras that came for me personally not in question. Also I did not always take a big bag to the camera to verstauen.Ich wanted a camera that is between a small compact and a DSLR. Having compared the cameras in a large electronics store, I chose the Canon SX20 IS.Ich'm an amateur photographer who arrange trips and on vacation takes a few photos and for the Camera is absolutely fit.
Major pluses for me are:
- The very large zoom range 20x optical (28 to 560 mm), additional 4x digital zoom
- The many automatic programs
- ZBBlendenautomatik, select the shutter speed and the camera automatically selects the aperture
- Or aperture priority mode select aperture and the camera sets the shutter speed, but still many others
- Manually adjust the Möglichtkeit all settings
- The Super Macro mode of 0 cm, with the very good close-ups are possible
- Face detection mode
- Panorama function, but have to be assembled on the PC (software on CD case)
- Electronic optical viewfinder where you can concentrate on his subject (some pixelated)
- The swiveling 2.5-inch LCD screen (rotating and swiveling) where recordings can be made without having to be
must contort
- I can use normal AA batteries (my recommendation, Sanyo eneloop AA batteries)
- The good working Optical Image Stabilizer
- Is very comfortable to hold, even though the camera a bit heavier than the Panasonic FZ 38
- The HD video mode 720p (1,280 x 720) fully zoomable, the videos have a very good picture and sound quality
rather buy for video recording is equal a bigger memory card, I have the SanDisk Secure Digital High
Capacity (SDHC) Class 6 8GB, but also my older Scandisk 2GB Ultra 2 still works with this camera
- The ultrasonic motor at the back, the very quietly carries out his service just take the video
- The HDMI port, you can connect the camera wom equal with an LCD TV to his paintings and
Watch videos
- Möglichtkeit put on an extra flash
- The very good self-explanatory menu, where you have to read not only a manual
- Energy saving feature, screen turns off and the lens retracts automatically
- Ports, USB interface (Version 2.0 Hi-Speed), Headphone Jack, Audio output,
HDMI mini connector
But there are also a few little things that I did not like
- At the telephoto end of the autofocus works a bit slowly
- For fast continuous shooting, the camera may not be suitable (approximately 1.4 frames per second,
the other cameras can better and faster
- No indication how full the battery is still, this battery indicator comes only when the batteries are almost empty
why it can not be displayed before
- Shooting in low light conditions with higher ISO values verauscht something
Conclusion: For me as an amateur photographer absolutely recommendable camera with little weaknesses,
have to get over.
The Canon SX20 IS is for me personally, the better overall package
compared with the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ38
