1. What do the RX can be better than the A65 (!):
- Auto ISO can be set freely.
- The RX100 The Fn menu is freely configurable. This is a huge advantage for me, because the operation is noticeably faster and easier.
- The RX100 dominates the side ratio 1: 1. I like and quite often take pictures with it.
- Younger Fill-the RX100 can push it back and thus flash indirectly.
- You can charge the battery in the camera and has no external charger longer take on holiday. And the best thing is that the charging cable of my Samsung smartphone also fits the RX100: o)
2. What the RX can not:
- The imaging performance of the RX100 corresponds only about the Alpha 65 in ISO 1600 and ISO 3200 (and is therefore still incredibly good for a compact).
- The RX100 has no viewfinder (the display is also in sunshine excellent).
- The RX100 has no hot shoe.
- Referred to in the item description "beautiful defocus effects" are nonsense. The Bokeh a 1.4er Potraitobjektivs is not nearly comparable to the little blur the RX100.
Conclusion: so far it was so that I took my Alpha 65 generally and the Compact only if I could really use any large luggage (hiking, etc.). In future it will be the other way around. The RX100 is so good that it will be my first choice for almost all cases. My "Large" will I use only when I want to with special lenses (telephoto, Portrait, etc.) or large flash work. Otherwise, there's really nothing what the "Small" not - and in some cases even better - can.
A greater praise can not pronounce a compact camera.
Addendum:
That the image quality of the RX100 is not comparable to that of compact cameras but rather with the quality of SLR with which one can clearly see on this site:

Just on the one hand to select the Sony RX100 and on the other side one of the current precious compacts like the Nikon P7100 or Panasonic LX7. Then on both sides to select a high ISO value (eg 1600) and then see and be amazed. The differences are truly shows its flavor.
