This hybrid drive promises the best of both worlds: Moderately space as a HDD, coupled with SSD speed. Unfortunately, no installation instructions for Mac OS X are included, so that one is still pretty much on their own in Disk Utility. The drive could be installed easily and partition as "HFS + Journaled", but which was eliminated the original dichotomy in SSD and HDD. On Mac, you will be addressed as a "rotating" panel, evidence of SSD missing. The board will boot quickly and runs well. Whether the specific SSD advantage really comes into play on Mac, can not safely determine, and hints at Seagate.com there are none. So it's a nice concept, but a little more care and product support would tolerate.
