An excellent start for this trilogy that takes us from the first page in a world quite captivating. We discover a matriarchal world where intrigues and betrayals abound, where magic has its place and where power is rooted in the jewels, from the lightest to the darkest. A rich fantasy but not obvious from a first glance, the atmosphere that emerges from this book is sometimes dark, sometimes bright, many characters adorn this story, all of the strangest and most fascinating of each other. I highly enjoyed this reading, totally adhered to the history and throw myself without waiting for the result of that trilogy.
