could I make the first impression of Guild Wars 2 thanks 2 beta events now.
After a few levels, and experiences in story, collecting, crafting and PvP now have a first review by me.
My most positive impression was: Wow, this game has learned from the mistakes of the other MMOs and circumnavigated it clever. More on this in Pro-Contra overview.
Pro:
General:
- Account Warehouse, which can access to any char (even regardless of race)
- Craft materials have their own area and do not consume space in the warehouse
- No annoying Post boxes for mail system's
- Extensive settings for character creation
Story / Quests / Events:
- Pro class, own story, which in turn is different depending on how you will provide the settings for character creation
- This story has an almost entirely (2-3 level can continue with the storyline)
- Quests no longer have to be brought in NPC, but appear automatically when you enter a certain area
- Rewards for the quests there immediately upon completion automatically by mail
- Almost always are dynamic events where you can connect all around EP, Karma to earn etc.
- Some events are also made very funny, such as: Quick Fight with children, beer transport escort and much more.
Gathering / crafting:
- Each char can break down all of the resources and it's also still EP
Excreted in crafting no eternal wait longer, produces the more you the faster's -
- When you get crafting EP
- Resources can be sent from your inventory directly to the camp house, which underlined no inventory space
- Experimenting with the crafting gives new recipes
- Practically everything can be broken down and converted into craft materials
Classes / Skills:
- Not millions of skills that you have to learn (5 per weapon skill)
- The skills of a class depend on the arming of Chars
- Each class can carry different weapons, so you have a variety of different skills
- From Lvl. 7, you can at any time switch back and forth (in the fight) between 2 weapon sets and thus alter its spec
- Other Skills you switched over skill points freely, even here there are a variety of possible combinations
- Each class can heal, there are no specific healing classes more
PvP:
- There are 2 possibilities instanced PvP with a few players or mass PvP in WvWvW (3 servers play on a huge map against each other)
- WvWvW has it done to me now, here you can practically do everything eg: conquests of supply camps and castles, intercepting supply caravans of the enemy and of course huge battles (was at about 50 players)
- The whole thing is then seasoned with more dynamic events
- All players doing the same footing
Graphics:
- Artwork looks very good, and the engine seems to be very performant because despite high settings I had in mass PvP no graphical glitches or stuttering
- Extensive graphic options
Audio:
-Sound Is neat
We come to the Contra, because for me there was not very much. ^^
Cons:
General:
The invisibility and absence mode in a login session is currently useless as acquaintances can see on a Friend List all progress that you akutell. I have tested with friends.
Story / Quests / Events:
- I found the field of human rather boring, this assessment is, of course, purely subjective
Graphics:
- Little CGI sequences
Conclusion:
I for one think that Guild Wars 2 so far looks great and am looking forward to the release.
I hope that the game we make its way. When the amount of MMO's that are currently on the market it will not be easy, but I think by the above geannten features it will provide an incentive for many players.
