First part of a trilogy?

Deponia is, if one looks only at the production values, the best ever made by Daedalic Adventure.
From time and a little jerky, but otherwise the teething problems of the first releases seem finally to be behind us. The graph, and this time also largely the cutscenes can be proud of. These are often enriched with slapstick elements.
The puzzles are mostly managed and embedded into the plot, but sometimes seem a bit irrelevant to the larger arc. Especially in this respect Daedalic had actually announced an improvement. Towards the end, it is unfortunately increasingly shallow, which I also do not want to be obvious, except perhaps that the action should be pursued.
I feel Allerding counterproductive, because one arrives faster ans so too early and unfortunately open in essential points end. Similar to A Vampyre Story originally scheduled game had to be divided into smaller episodes namely to publish it can. The first, with a playing time of about 10 hours, we have here before us and the later gameplay seems a bit knitted with the hot needle.
In my opinion, the continuous nature of the game has not been adequately communicated and there is so far no indication in the Description here on Amazon.
Is rumored to be in Deponia a trilogy. As a buyer, so one should be aware that you still can grab one or two times in his pocket to see the conclusion of the story.
The puzzle remains to say that Daedalic unfortunately this does not even dispensed with minigames. These can skip but. The difficulty, however, is moderate, so that they can be worked on quite quickly.
The greatest strength of Deponia are in addition to the graphics, the story and characterization, even if this is specifically mention again anything but subtle.
The mood is more cheerful than it was at Edna and The Whispered World, but always spiced with a certain cynicism that is well presented and fortunately regarded with ironic distance. The Simpsons or Futurama are here in my opinion, however, much too high seized comparisons.
By contrast, each Mangafan must immediately notice the numerous and significant similarities to Battle Angel Alita. It starts even in optical elements such as the lack of tabs on which are widely used in the Manga area and also at Alita a feature of so-called Chibis. In the act it is then but crystal clear that here a fertilization has occurred. From Handlungsort to specific and distinctive, essential characteristics of the residents and resulting storylines.
Ultimately, results from the elements while a new story with a new protagonist (even if the hobbyist finds also at Alita) and new mood. In addition, every story has its role models. Nevertheless, there remains a stale aftertaste, because so many will not know the model.

Summarizing I want to say that I think the game despite my criticisms for success. The hype that has been successfully stoking lately about, but I can only partially understand. Deponia is more pleasing than many previous titles from the same house and also technologically advanced. But pleasing is not automatically better. The convincing story without reaching the intensity of The Whispered World.
Impressive is the large number of animations in consistently good optical view, the quality of the animation itself, unfortunately, varies, as was already the case with the previous titles. I always find it amazing that it hardly criticism is, maybe because everyone is glad to be able to ever again enjoy extensive drawn animation.
The actors make for the most part a good job.
