Flower screen with charm and a lot of plastic

The safely packed umbrella consists of two parts: the screen with all the moving parts and an extension tube, which is inserted into a conventional (but absolutely serious and stable) and stand there usually clamped with two thumbscrews. This walk is of course not included! Both elements are plugged together, whereby the mesh is a bit too short: The design of wobbles at the junction easily.

Adjusting the screen height
With about 250 cm, our bright red umbrella with the special design stands out unmistakably from the other terrace Equipment. For my taste, it could still be a little deeper. It's also relatively easy to accomplish, but never to undo: Man pulls the lower stopper with a suitable tool, sawn from a corresponding piece of the lower part of the stem extension and sets the plug again. Before you try it, but you should first spend some time under the umbrella. Perhaps its original length is just right for you.

Dominated plastic
Except for the cover and a few small parts, the mechanism is made entirely of plastic: screen axis, spokes, crank and gearbox housing. I am afraid that after about two years, the first breaking points could be regrettable if namely starts to leave in the artificial materials of his dwelling plasticizers. For about 15 years, we have a similar design screen, but largely made of metal. His entire mechanism still works as the first day. This should in the present model certainly is not the case.

Summary
This umbrella convinces with its very original shape and, if you like that, by gaudy bright red (color "berry"). The processing itself is okay - but the plug is a bit shaky and almost all materials are made of dark gray plastic. Overall, I would nevertheless like four star award, especially since I do not know for sure when the first cracks in the spokes or the crankcase could be to complain. That will probably turn out until the end of the next summer.
