The Brotherhood of Crab, Volume 2 (Album)

Customer Review

Highly anticipated sequel of the Brotherhood of the Crab ... the basic principle of the series is extended: together in the same story all the monsters of classic horror movies. After the werewolf, Dracula and his three draculettes, here are our five adventurers faced Frankenstein, his assistant and his creature, undead, and an allusion to the Imothep mummy. Fortunately, Matthew Gallié the scenario has not forgotten its basic frame, and we learn more about the crabs and the fantasy world in which our heroes found themselves. He does not forget either to settle accounts with the vampires of Volume 1. However, the mystery still surrounds the reason for their presence, and the fate of crabs ... all of which will be addressed in the third and final Volume!

Drawing hand, Andreae feasts and we also passed. The moods are Gothic desire, in a world more colorful and varied than the previous volume. The texts are written with the same findings that the beginning: banter popular 30 years for children, extreme theatricality to their opponents (while in the cinema of the time frame). In short, a design treat, and assumed a complete tribute to a specific genre cinema. But perhaps not quite enough to lift afit in the small circle of masterpieces ... Algernon Woodcock (scripted by the same Gallié), for example, remains truly superior, why I do not put 5 stars.

NB: If this Brotherhood Please do not miss Mangecoeur, the same tandem Gallié-Andreae!
