Episode 30, the ranks of SF radio plays Battle Scene issued in Germany series "Mark Brandis", seen from a new and unfamiliar side. So the makers are taking a certain risk, since not only the mood of the result is different, but this time not the real head of the series is with foreman Grischa Romen in the foreground. Expressive spoken by David Nathan Romen has long been one of the most compelling characters of the radio play. The story also takes this time a socio-political theme on, racism, and is thus in a slightly different direction than many of the previous episodes. While there are some hard cuts and cracks in the plot, but the story especially towards the end, has to Grischa such a strong emotional impact that can come out of a total of only 30 Mark Brandis sequence top rating. Granted, this is the very first story of the entire series, which has managed to stir the reviewer to tears. Only a deep story full of authenticity can do this; therefore has "Planet Action Z" earned the highest rating! In fact, however, a double episode would have been worthwhile. So the 78 minutes but now very scarce for the extensive history.
The quiet scenes that reveal also something about Grischa Romens interpersonal relationships, are facing strong action-packed space ship scenes. Once again, a sequence which has a special charm when (or even better during a flight) heard while driving, because the movement the effect of spacecraft atmosphere intensified.
Taken together is "Planet Action Z" one of the outstanding Mark Brandis sequences - insistently told and perfectly implemented.
