Since I knew ZZTop only heard in passing, I bought this, and was pleasantly surprised. The first CD with songs of the first 6 albums consists exclusively of no-frills rock and blues, which can mitwippen the leg. Out tip is everything here, 5 points from me for this. In the booklet (made pretty) is written that ZZTop have jumped straight to the train with the emergence of MTV, which has offered the new medium - and that's the negative thing I could complain about at the 2nd CD - move not me, or at best barely. The newly discovered video capability of the three beards of Texas has the teeth robbed the bite. The added Come Synthesizer displaced too much of a rock in favor of Pop, which has indeed sold better in the end, but can be missing in many songs to soul. This is my subjective opinion, I give 3 points for CD2 - all in all, you get very good to acceptable music - and a whole lot for a good price.
