Granted the similarity to burnout is alarmingly high and the control is quite inaccurate (to put it mildly)
but as for the gameplay as it filled my claims unexpectedly.
When driving stages with more than five minutes in length, the cops ever has in the neck and the enemy front path then you can feel but the ancient times of Hot Purusit, Burning Asphalt and Hot Pursuit 2 (my favorite)
Also you get back in fashion vehicle data to the respective vehicle and can be seen from a selected car show Chase Vieo I find good and deepens the gameplay.
Negative usually fall just little things on (in addition to the above control):
- The time trial are a little gap filling and are boring
- 2 of 4 arms, both sides (here would be more creative work have been asked, for example, when the racers ne Ölspur place instead spikes.)
- The abbreviations are poorly visible and are fairly branched and often means that one leads to the decisive moment in the limitation does again.
- The wait-free driving without side missions or just cops at roadside
- No splitscreen
- No "Single Race" menu with setting functions
- No career (with HP1 and HP2 had no!)
But short order: A lot of things the former primal NFS games can be found here again. After tuning escapades (Underground) and Real Simulation (Shift) the police force comes into play and this is the core of the game.
After the skepticism I have to say: Thank Criterion has messed up all the series for a beacon of hope for the EA.
