Great Tribute to Star Trek

First thing first: this is not original soundtrack but an excellent new recording of many known and some lesser-known themes. And that's just as well! The producers of this great double CD have many classic Trek Themes very atmospheric, emotionally charged, powerful and innovative reinterpreted and created a moving work of art, that while building on the original melodies, but represents something completely independent.
I first actually bought the CDs just because of the new themes ("Tasha's Farewell", "Starfleet Academy"), but have to say that to me now like both CDs from the first until the last second! An impressive, well set to music cross-section of the music of Star Trek, the leaves glisten even old favorite works in a new light. And that's why the double CD for all Star Trek is - and soundtrack fans thoroughly recommended, even if or precisely because it is just not an original score.
It is a pity that there is little new Star Trek soundtracks are lately, just to the series Voyager, DS9 and Enterprise there is only one CD for the pilot. Another reason why this tribute to Star Trek is a welcome new publication.
