Panasonic DMP BD 35 EG K Blu-ray Player (Electronics)

Customer Review

If you own a Blu-ray player of the first generation, a Panasonic DMP-BD10, I have long thought to migrate to the current BD35. Since I have a 7.1 receiver with HDMI input without HD decoder (Marantz 4002), I wanted to enjoy DTS HD Master Audio. So I decided to replace, ordered yesterday and it was delivered.

The BD35 BD10 at the Blu Ray already in Bildquailtät on my LCD TV (Sharp AQUOS) depends significantly. The sharpness is at least a notch above. As is opposite to the first generation a lot happened.

The BD10 can not be brought to decode DTS HD Master Audio for the hardware. Even with Dolby True HD (2.5) is not always output in 7.1 with the latest firmware, though encoded on Blu Ray.

Opposite the DTS Core (output in the yes Master Audio Decoder without correct) is DTS HD Master Audio significantly durchkvoller. Because of the only BD35 Blu-ray player on the market, which can output via HDMI DTS HD Master Audio as (multi-channel) PCM signal (the BD55 can also analog), he is a best buy. Strange, though, is that in DTS HD Master Audio 7.1 always a signal is output, which is not in Dolby TrueHD so.

The multi-channel sound is spatially substantially better than the BD10 with all codecs (Dolby and DTS). Those who have a receiver with HD decoder, can hear sound as a bitstream, which the BD10 also not controlled.

Even my AVCHD HD camcorders are the BD35 with a clear quality advantage over the BD10 again. He can do this either by a DBD or from an SD memory card. About this way also pictures of a digital camera can be played back.

With BD Live and Bonus View are all current playback formats Blu Ray on board. Thus it is also here to date. The start when the unit and after Einlgen the disc is also much faster than the BD10.

The omission of the DVD-Audio function at BD35 is bearable because of the downmix (with which you can specify in the multi-channel DVD-Audio, as it should be played back in stereo) is faulty when BD10.

Currently a Blu Ray are the BD35 supplied and a second can be ordered through a voucher, not bad.

The Upsclaing DVD I have not tried it yet, because I have a very good (Codefree-) DVD player.

Thus, the Panasonic DMP-BD35 is clearly recommended as it (cost of BD10 yes 1600 Euros) a great performance at an unbeatable price brings.
