DALI censor 1 Speaker White (Electronics)

Customer Review

With stereo installation I tested the following speakers.
1. Heco Celan XT 301
2. KEF Q 100
3. DALI censor 1
4. Klipsch RB-81 II
5. Wharfedale Diamond 10.2

Output Device: Marantz M-CR510.
Room: living room corner next to the TV. Room (20m²) with mostly smooth, hard surfaces; acoustically very unfavorable.
Music: acoustic, singer-songwriter, indie and something from everything else.
Requirement: clear voice reproduction, balanced bass and treble.
Format: FLAC file or analog Fernseherton (DVB-T)
Higher: Laie, with a penchant for good sound.

1. HECO Celan XT 301
Optics: housing meticulously crafted, makes with metal, visible screws and the tapered shape a high-quality impression. Surface smooth, shiny without blemish. Disappointment at the sight or not strung, the Speaker of paper and visible splices.
Sound: Powerful much bass, unfortunately without proper draft. In my room with a strong roar. Even when runtergeregeltem bass voices sound too deep and make especially when watching TV no fun.
Conclusion: Looks good, otherwise no recommendation sounds too dull, perhaps suitable for electronic music.

2. KEF Q 100
Appearance: Square handy around simply. Without covering a small eye-catcher, as well as the bass reflex port facing forward. Speaker himself look good, the case slightly smaller than the Heco.
Sound: Much better than the Heco. Bass comes when he has to come, very light draft. Voice is very real and detail. Listening is fun.
Conclusion: Good speakers for installation close to walls, the price is not very convincing. Better used in more subdued space, otherwise the treble is more prominent.

3. DALI censor 1
Appearance: The smallest and lightest in the round. Nothing to complain about working but also not emphasized good beklebtes veneer. Better graphics with fabric. Speakers themselves appear to be mass-produced, like the Heco.
Sound: Surprisingly for the size. After several back and forth to hear almost no difference to KEF. Only the bass has no draft, but not booming, for this case but very good.
However, prolonged listening allows the tweeter to occur strongly and caused in my small space overlays the cause headaches to the forefront. Even after 2 weeks of break-in period only slight improvement.
Conclusion: Discreet speaker with a very good price-performance ratio. Space should rather damp, otherwise the high tones are too dominant. Little improvement is the break-in period and slight backward tilt. Installation close to walls rather uncritically.

4. Klipsch RB-81 II
Appearance: The largest and heaviest. Processing as with DALI, also without covering with a broad bass reflex port and golden speaker Highlite. However, the single cable clamps from inferior plastic, do their job. Advantageously, the cover with magnetic holder.
Sound: Heady; clear, detailed and rousing. Bass clean and to the point with the best draft, for my taste combines too much, have runtergeregelt something. Noise (wind, breathing, etc.) come to listen and you feel right in the middle. Widest stereo receiver box, small errors in the listening position does not fall on the same. In forums often described as too dynamic, I can not understand, the issue feel just as very honest.
Conclusion: Beautiful dynamic, clear demarcations Tonale and tingling in the stomach. A dampening acoustics is advantageous but not a prerequisite. Best efficiency. The most expensive but worth every penny.

5. Wharfedale Diamond 10.2
Optics: The shape of the housing with curved side walls. Otherwise simply, rather inconspicuous. No processing errors to detect. Without Tension emerge the iron speaker frames and displace its simple appearance.
Sound: A stage, take the first alignment was a one exact location localization of singers and instruments. Even the Klipsch dominated this quite well, but the image at Wharfedale präzisier. When film was asked by friends where as the other speakers would be. The feeling to be in the middle is strongest here. Convinced the bass, by the size of the housing and with good draft for a bookshelf speaker, slightly restrained ending as the Klipsch. Unlike all the other speakers, the tweeter does not cut here is particularly noticeable at higher singing singers noticeable, it sounds silky smooth and not screaming. Voices are very clear and are at the forefront. Noises are detailed and exact to define as the Klipsch. For example, what used to be just for noise sound is now heard exactly as wind or the light touch of the foot pedal on the piano is just to hear now. After a week, I'm still excited.
Conclusion: Very good in bright room acoustics, high tones discreetly without lack of clarity. Stage with high resolution. For my needs and room acoustics tonlich the best speakers with good price-performance ratio.
