... To these ordinary heroes who during the German occupation have, for humanity, listened to their conscience and took risks to avoid as long as possible for Jewish children to deportation. At a time when it was easier to do nothing or to look elsewhere, some have decided otherwise. Thank you to them for their example and to the author to make us relive those moments, though I would have appreciated that the strength of the novel allows the author to imagine a happier ending.
