Grundsätlich Dragon Commander is a mix of real-time strategy (major part of the game), Circular tactics and solo elements Pro: + Campaign made consistent, probably relatively long time (have been made 2 conquests and about 6-8h season) + Varied Unit Design and Einsatzmäglichkeiten (reminiscent of Starcraft 2 something the unit design / skills) + On higher difficulty you have to be really careful and strategic approach, consider step by step, move forward and conquer corresponding base construction sites and skillfully himself used as a dragon and Support own troops + Round tactic mode is fun, relatively good compromise between complexity and playability (main focus is just on the battlefields)
Negatives: - Conquests run pretty similar from, no scripting events in the "missions" - Base building only in prescribed areas - Around tactic has not the complexity of a Total War
I think I'll spend with Dragon Commander of the 40-50 hours total time and have fun, after the campaign (ca 20-30h well) playing the multiplayer mode once more. Overall I give 4.5 stars (rounded up 5), it makes hell of fun levy troops, careful pre keys because each loss hurts a unit and himself to switch as a dragon.
